In draw poker, the players are dealt a hand and are able to “draw” cards by picking them from the top of the deck. The person who has the most cards at the end of the hand is the winner. Draw Poker rules differ from Regular Poker rules in that there is never a Wild Card. If a player has more cards than the other players combined, then that player must draw from the discard pile instead of from their own pool. As a result, a Wild Card is dealt to the player who has more cards.

A regular poker game usually follows the following format. First, there is the pre-flop betting where the winning bid is the highest possible hand. Next, there is the flop where players may either call or raise. Finally, at the final table, the player with the best high hand takes the pot.

In “Progressive Betting” as well as “Unlimited Betting” the bets are done after the flop, and the pot is increased based on the final pre-flop bet. In a standard 52-card deck, the player who has the most cards at the end of the flop has the advantage. After the third round of betting, the pot is split between all the players with the highest scores. The purpose of this is to give each team a reasonable chance of winning the pot.
